BATTLE OF SONGS RULES Registration      1. Each song registered must be an original creation of the competitor. The songs can have more composers. The prize will be awarded to the person or persons specified in the registration form.      2. You can register works of any musical genre, as long as there is no publishing contract signed for them.      3. The songs will be considered registered after the registration fee has been paid and after Battle of Songs receives the publishing contract signed by all the authors, together with a copy of this regulation and a copy of the declaration of registration to the collective organisms. If the same authors register several works, these will be registered in Appendix 1 of the same contract.      4. The songs must not be longer than 4 minutes.      5. Each competitor has the right to register an unlimited number or works.      6. The authors of each song must have the written agreement of all the rights holders related to the song (soloists, orchestrators etc.). The written agreement, in original signature, will be sent along with the publishing contract and the signed regulation.      7. The text of the song can be in any language, but if it is not Romanian or English, it must have a translation in English, which will be sent with the song.      8. All authors can participate, amateurs and professionals.      9. Authors from all the world can participate.      10. It is advisable that the registration and interpretation are of high quality.      11. The deadline for registering the works is the 25th of August 2008 (post office date) or the 30th of August for the songs sent online.      12. Registration fees will be paid by card or bank transfer in one of the accounts opened for the contest:                A. RO30BRDE441SV72685024410 - USD      13. Registration of a song requires a registration fee of 14.9 € (VAT included). If the same author registers several works the registration fee is 9.9 € (VAT included) for each song.      14. All the fees are non refundable.      15. If there are several songs registered and the fees paid to Battle of Songs do not cover the amount necessary for all of them, Battle of Songs will accept the works for which the fee was paid, in chronological order of registration.      16. Battle of Songs is not responsible for the degradation or loss of the CDs sent by mail. Do not send materials by normal post services or by any other method that requires Battle of Songs representatives to pick them up from the post office! These materials will not be considered registered, even if the registration fee has been paid. Send your audio materials and the other documents only by courier services that insure the delivery directly to the address mentioned by Battle of Songs.      17. Do not send the master of your song !      18. Competitors aged less than 18 years need the signature of their legal tutor on all the original documents necessary for the registration of their songs.      19. Obscene and licentious lyrics are forbidden. Deployment      1. Registrations start with the 1st of July 2008.      2. The jury, composed by specialists in the musical field (radio stations and record companies managers), will select 30 works from all the registered songs.      3. The 30 semifinalist songs will be announced on the 15th of September 2008.      4. From the 16th of September till the 15th of October the public will vote by SMS the 30 songs posted on the site. The votes expressed by SMS will determine the classification on www.battleofsongs.com. The arithmetical mean of the public's vote and the jury's vote will determine the final mark of each song. Top 12 songs will enter the finals.      5. On the 16th of November will be announced the 12 finalist works.      6. From the 16th until the 28th of November, the public will choose the song that receives the Popularity Prize, in value of 1000 €.      7. All winners and finalists will be contacted after the results of each stage are published/announced, within maximum 14 days from the announcement of the results. Advertizing      1. The composers registered will offer full support to the organizers in order to advertise their own songs and Battle of Songs.      2. Until the 15th of September, date when the jury announces its decision, the identity of the composers will not be revealed.      3. Starting with the 16th of September, the composers are free to advertize their works by their own means. Star Management will make its own advertizing campaign.      4. Each finalist will have his/her own blog on www.battleofsongs.com, where he/she will be able to promote him(her)self, support his/her song and dialogue with the public.      5. Each composer registered will give Star Management a CV and 3 recent photographs in jpeg format.      6. The composers will accept, within 5 days from the request of Star Management, to give interviews on the site www.battleofsongs.com, as well as on other sites and supports. Jury      1. The jury's decision is incontestable.      2. Star Management reserves the right to have the final judging/jury decision, in case there will appear problems, misunderstandings or any unpredicted events.      3. The public will have a telephone number where to send SMS. Each message must contain the title of the favorite song. One SMS = one vote. Prizes      1. The big prize will be awarded according to the jury's decision, and will be in value of 9 000 €. The winner will be announced on the 29th of November 2008.      2. The song that receives the most numerous votes from the public will be awarded the popularity prize, in value of 1000 €.      3. It is the composer's responsibility to pay all taxes dues to the amounts received. Battle of Songs will declare all the money awarded as prizes. It is the contestant's responsibility to get informed and obey the law. All Romanian laws apply. IMPORTANT!
